Shimano’s RAPIDFIRE PLUS design provides quick lever access and smooth operation, while 2-WAY RELEASE allows the release lever to be operated by either pushing with your thumb or pulling with your index finger. Shimano states that the M8100 generation requires approximately 35% less shifting operation force and provides 20% quicker main-lever access compared with the previous SL-M8000 generation.
